Definition: For example, colorless thermal dust turns visible (e.g., black) when the temperature rises to a specified degree, such as 30°C (86°F), as shown in the image below.

Additionally, this colorless-to-color thermal dust can be categorized into reversible and irreversible types:

• Reversible thermal dust: When the temperature rises to the specified value (e.g., 30°C), the pigment changes from colorless to black. When the temperature drops below 30°C, it reverts to its original colorless state. This reversible type can be used repeatedly.

• Irreversible thermal dust: When the temperature reaches the specified value (e.g., 30°C), the pigment changes from colorless to black. However, even if the temperature drops below 30°C, it does not return to its original colorless state. This type is less common and is typically used for detection, anti-counterfeiting, and similar purposes.
